Be careful with this. I had a small ultrasonic that I used to clean a stainless steel pistol slide. I couldn’t get the whole slide in at one time. I can now see a faint line where the liquid level crossed the slide in both directions. Oil covers it up, but it is there when the oil is rubbed off.
I've never seen this, though I do try to get the part fully submerged. What kind of cleaning solution did you use?

I was using the Hornady One Shot cleaning solution. I’ve since purchased a larger ultrasonic cleaner that allows me to fully submerge parts.

Welp, the notches on the tube gave out before the Chinese choke wrench. I actually got about a full turn out of it before there is nothing left to bite on. DANG IT!

Time for the easy out with pieces of leather stuffed in between the flutes to maintain squareness and rigidity. If you got a full turn, you have some lube getting somewhere. Keep on with the concoction/witch's brew that worked.
