I've decided that all the non-hackers who fail at their job at the Ada post office must find their way into employment at Dish Network. That's not setting the bar high for performance, I can assure you.

We recently signed up for Dish Network TV. Neither of us have had TV service for years. We spend a lot more time at home these days so we thought it might be nice.

Part of the promotion pack for signing up for new service was the standard 3 months of a movie channel package at no charge. But you have to cancel at the end of the 3 month period or they'll continue to provide those channels and you'll be charged. Our cutoff day was the 27th.

I called Dish on the 25th and requested ALL premium channels be deleted from our programming. The (apparently) off-shore agent assured me they were cancelled. Simple 5 minute phone call.

I got my bill today. Guess what didn't get cancelled? Guess what I'm being charged for?

I swear... Just another in the very long list of people or organizations that can't even manage to do a half-assed job. It's just become the norm to expect less from everyone. Very sad. And it's also just infuriating when it happens over and over and over...

It's no wonder I dislike people so much these days.

Oh, yeah... We now have like 5,291 TV channels that we can scroll thru and then b***h because there's nothing worth watching. At least there's that entertainment value...

I am laughing at the 5000 channels with nothing on.

I ditched sparklight when they were cable one for TV. Man there was only maybe 6 channels I watched the rest were all crap. So I cut the cord. Kept the internet of course and now I stream a movie or series if I want to watch something.

Ada is a odd place, I hear daily folks complain about needing more hours, but when called and offered more hours they turn it down, or they call in all the damn time.
I dont know how the heck they pay their bills let alone always running off to take another trip.

I wont even get started at how cranky most folks have been lately, I mean I get it inflation, price increases etc etc but it aint our fault.

I sure miss supervising that crack bunch of productive employees at Ada. I thought you’d get it today when the idiot realized they’d left it on the wrong porch.

Oh, wait... Were you serious?

On a positive note, Amazon is picking up the slack for that "crack bunch of productive employees at Ada" even though it wasn't Amazon's fault. But I bet the investigation into the missing winch is in full swing at the PO. Probably have their best people on it right now...

I know you weren't...thus the ROFL-ers. I'm pretty sure the first one is safely tucked away in someone's garage right now.

So here ya go @pstmstr ... Serious question. How will the PO handle this if the driver says, "Yeah, I dropped it off at this address by mistake." Will they make an attempt (or request) to have that person return it? Or just write it off and pay a claim to Amazon.

Well they “should” contact the customer at the address where they left it and attempt to retrieve it. If so then deliver it to the correct address. Honestly, who knows these days. I know it’s frustrating. Accountability is a thing of the past. It was bad enough when I retired. I have disciplined carriers for misdeliveries, failure to actually get out of the vehicle and attempt delivery, etc. I can only imagine it now. Of all the places I worked, Ada employees had the worst work ethic of all. Some good people there but some pathetic ones as well.
