So I've been thinking a lot lately about a "get home bag", I've slowly been putting one together, I've got a pretty legit first aid kit (not full of 10,000 bandaids and some neosporin, stuff you would actually use), good knife, 3 ways to make fire, and more odds and ends. I'm putting together some homemade mre kits that are more personalized to my PICKY family.
I'm more worried about car problems/car accident in bad weather, than I am about nuclear war breaking out on our way home from an Oilers game so I don't need a fishing kit, snares, etc.etc.
Does anyone have one themselves? If so, what do you recommend to carry? Any input would be great!
