One word RAIN. We need it bad. Thursday night we were teased with lightening and had 4 fires as a result. 4 fires in about 35 minutes. We had two trucks on the big fire at Camargo when we had our calls here. Luckily we still had 3 brush pumpers here and a tanker. I was on our big brush pumper built on an military surplus International cab and chassis. 1000 gallon of water. We put out two of the fires and went to finish mop up on the third as our two small brushpumpers pulled off it quickly as the call came in for a fire with a houses close by. They were within 2 miles of it and we were about 7miles away.
Yesterday we were on a large fire by American Horse Lake and back up to Camargo as well. We haven't had the trucks available to help with the medicine park fire as we have to keep enough at home for times like Thursday night.
My real job has been understanding by letting me quit early to make the fire runs. But they don't understand when I ask to go fishing. Lol

Hey, how is everyone? I'm laid up in bed following the first of two surgeries I'm having this summer. Right arm is wrapped up like a burrito. Pain meds have me feeling like crap. But without them I hurt like hell. So I guess I have to choose the lesser of the two evils.
That stinks... I don't know you, but I will say some prayers for quick healing
