Have any of you done this or considered it? I’m considering it in order to be more productive and eliminate the temptation to read all the news and watch everything on YouTube. Be more present and aware etc. I think phone and data addiction create a lot of general dissatisfaction in many people lives. There are also real privacy issues that I think people should take more seriously. At one time, the thought of carrying around a device that knows everything and records everything about you would be considered terrible.
I've got a Kyocera flip phone. It dose all I need it to do, Take calls,Make calls, Text message.
I dont need internet on my phone. Im happy with it. If it wasn't for the wife I wouldn't have one at all.

Went to a smart phone from a flip but pretty much use it as I did the flip. Phone calls and some text. I kinda like the ability to access the net even though I rarely use it. It isn't the phone it's your addition.
Big brother can still track you!!!
My job requires me to have one and gives me one so I have two. I don't do anything but business stuff on theirs and calls, text, and photos and rarely email on mine. I'd much rather have an old flip phone.

And ATT somehow picks up and allows voice mail sometimes..I even hate that as I do not even hear it ring.

I agree. To me a phone is like having a ball and chain.
All I have is a flip phone, and it's usually turned off. I can call if I want, others can call, if it's on or they can leave me a voice mail that I will hear the next time I turn it on, which may be weeks.
