So with Colt building the Python again and it being priced around the $1500 mark, how does that affect the price of the older ones? Will they drop or hold their value? They appear to be built better and I didn’t notice a locking mechanism.

I'll be watching to see how it affects the vintage prices.

My prediction though is, not much. I think people will see them as two different models, much like the pre-1962 Fender guitars are viewed much differently than those made after '62.

When the market is somewhat satisfied with the 2020 model and they are available below msrp, IF the trigger is as good as I'm hearing, I'll probably get one. If I'm wrong, and the vintage guns come down to that range I'll have to decide but I'll probably get something. But other than the one with light primer strikes, and some (2?) with the cylinder issue, everything I'm hearing about the quality is pretty good. I'm going to the gun show tomorrow hoping, but not expecting to see one.
