I tried the rice bran a couple years ago. I didn’t have much success with it. You’re right though, the coons wouldn’t touch it. Might have to try the pellets
The deer here inhale that stuff, and I don't get near the coon traffic. I hadn't seen the pellets in stock before this year.
Mix the pellets in to get them started.
Moisture will cause the pellets to mold. If there’s pigs around you will have them in there for sure due to the smell and mold. Western Oklahoma I’ve learned the deer could care less about it. Eastern Oklahoma they love it.

Bigger deer are starting to show up, and this hog just keeps getting fatter on my corn. I’ve got to kill him if for no other reason than to see just how big he really is. And he is still the only hog I’ve caught on camera.
If he is somewhat regular, he should be a piece of cake to drop him. Loading him maybe a little trouble.
He is regular to this feeder, so he must live very nearby. Only problem is, he is usually there between 11:30pm and 4:00am.
