The red and blackjack oaks have been dropping in my yard for 2 weeks and my white oaks are bare. No acorns even trying to grow. Isn't it early for acorns to be dropping? Anyone else notice this with their white oaks?
No white priviledge this year.
Post oaks have been hitting the metal barn roof for about a week now. Not in any great numbers though..
Have six Pin Oak trees in my yard. Got so many dang acorns in my yard right now, been dropping for about three weeks now, smaller than usual this year for some reason, but about four times as many. Was raking them up for a while, but I can't keep up with them, so they have to wait and get picked up with the leaves.
This is why I always have a place to hunt out west.
Well we had 2 weeks of 55 degree morning weather in Tulsa ......maybe they think it's fall already
I wouldn't be surprised with the cooler than normal summer. I'm really curious about the white oaks...
Pin oaks are dropping in our yard, as well as the dammed walnuts. Those things will make one break an ankle stepping on one, and there are hundreds on the ground, with another two weeks or so of them dropping. Nothing eats them but a couple of squirrels.

Pin oak and post oaks are dropping here in east TX, but no oaks on my place in OK to muddy the water.
