Air compressor blows up safety warning.

This is what happens when you don't drain the water out of your air compressor. It rust out makes the metal thin and BOOM! Blew a hole in the floor blew out the corner up in the air and fell back in the middle of garage knocking a hole in the ceiling. Brother law was on porch busted windows out of his grandmas hutch in the house.

Please always make sure to drain water out of your air compressor bog or small.

I did mine the other day and was ashamed of how much water came out. I dont use it often and dont leave it plugged in...but I guess it gets water quick.

Yep. Our compressors that don't get used regularly I leave the drain cracked open. The big shop compressor gets drained atleast once a month.

I agree he was sitting on the front porch when it blew, I told him lucky he wasn't close by it would likely blew his ear drums out or could have killed him, he was lucky.

I've been around compressors almost my whole life to include everything up to 90HP scroll compressors and have never seen anything like that. Damn!

Dang! Glad no one was hurt. Have to add this to the check list for the mother in laws house in Wisconsin. Know that it probably hasn't been done since Pop passed seven years ago.

Fortunately, mine has a slow leak and will bleed off in about a day. I only turn it on right before I use it anyway.
