It's not worms in the typical sense some might be thinking (intestinal), it's trichinosis, or infestation of skeletal muscle with a parasite called the trichina worm. And as far as I know, I don't think there's been a confirmed case in the US in a number of decades.

You gave me an idea. Cook some crispy bacon. When it’s done, break it into smaller pieces and put it in the pancake batter and make bacon pancakes.

We have had vanilla ice cream with bacon and maple syrup once. I thought yuck, but man, it was good.
