American (and the world for that matter) has always dramatized and romanced criminals who weren't blood-thirsty or violent towards their victims.

John Dillinger was one such person - he always took "the bank's money" and not the individuals that were at the bank. He has always been portrayed in movies as a super-nice "great guy".

Several of the old-west's career criminals were the same way. This kid is just a throw-back to those eras.

I personally don't agree with what he does - if he was in my house stealing, it would not be cool. But to be perfectly honest - at a time when our politicians, and financial giants on Wall street are stealing amounts much greater from the American people (including but not just limited to our current President)...

I don't honestly see how this kid is America's #1 criminal.

He's not #1, that was just the stupid headline.

Anyone who hasnt fantasized about doing what this kid is doing has a very boring imagination. Im not saying its right or condoning it, but it does sound kinda fun. He will get caught eventually, they know his name and what he looks like. That will get you every time.

The only reason DB Cooper was never caught.....nobody knows his real name, and they only have a police sketch artist drawing of him. And then there is the fact that maybe hes dead.

Sociopath is the right word. Resourceful, very smart and physically capable with (apparently) no empathy. That's an extremely dangerous person - he'll either be a career criminal who's never really caught or a wildly successful CEO...maybe both...

He's no pissant punk, he's far more dangerous than that.

Wow, I'm surprised to see how many positive comments are in this thread. You guys are probably the same people that have no problem with Robin Hood's stealing from the producers and giving to the moochers.

Personally I prefer his method to self preservation compared to say the illegal alien problem, or the lazy good for nothing leechers who get food stamps, and free housing, and electric bills paid for, by who.....you guessed it me and you, who has this kid hurt? Visa? Mastercard? from what info I have gathered they were mostly credit card charges, F*CK THOSE COMPANIES, they worry about their bottom dollar while you bleed out and starve, like to see the exalted of you stand there and defend those companies if you were in his situation.
