Good looking deer, but in my vast veterinary experience (tongue in cheek, guys) I am gonna say that he does need to be taken.

Older bucks like that one tend to get a real flat spot on their forehead. I've seen several kind of sunk in like that.
Sure hope he gets harvested quickly before he starts suffering any worse than he already is.
