Is there a way to get rid of the Auto-LAWKS system through modification without ruining the knife?

Yes, I have multiple CRKT's with auto-lawks and all you have to do is bend the little tab out straight and it will remove this feature. You could even go as far as taking the knife apart and grinding or cutting the bent piece off.

I love Gerry McGinnis and the CRKT collabs they did with him. I've got to be honest, the Tuition I've got is nicer than a lot of other smaller knives I own. My only complaint is that I wish they had used better steels in the blade.

CRKT makes pretty good stuff. I think there are better manufacturers (Ka-Bar, Kershaw, Cold Steel) for the money but their stuff will get the job done.

I have a CRKT Dragon fixed blade (based on the Dragon from Crawford Knives) and it is an excellent knife in all respects.

I would still like to get a summa! But that and my premonition are the only two i'm super interested in from CRKT at this time.

I go everywhere with my M16-13Z Carson. Blade made in Taiwan, but I don't care. It's just another tool, and I don't expect superb cutlery from a $50 folder.
