Facebook?

I had an account years ago. After about a month my dislike of stupid people caused a deletion of that account.
About a month later the I wanna be your friend emails from some chick in Siri Lanka started coming back. Deleted again. A couple months went by and here comes more emails.
So, I posted a half dozen porn pics that would make @RickN blush. The mods deleted the account for me.
Fast forward several years at a gun club meeting I was presiding over, the members asked about starting a FB page. I argued no, but was outvoted. So I gave the job to the person requesting it.
Next thing I know there is a FB email saying I’m Admin on the new page along with two others. So, started a new log in, locked it down hard. No pics no friends, no asking.
I’ve been on there a half dozen times in two years and that’s it. The other two admins seem happy to take care of everything.

I am on there daily. Easy way to keep up with family without actually having to talk to them. Most are loony, lefty, liberal type sisters. My brother is on there too but I have not talked to that drugged up booze hound in 20 years.

I do have a few friends I follow and a couple of groups.

Only social media I have is youtube and I don't get on there as much. Never had a desire to have any of the others. I don't have kids so I can't use that excuse.

Nah. Being able to see if anything important happens without having to talk to them is great. Plus, I do like the couple of groups I am in.

I started FB when it first came out. But log on 1 time a month or less now. It seems that FB has 2 main groups. Women, that constantly either brag about where they been, what they have or post a ***** about something. The other group is lonely men. Either way I'll probably will delete account. Do many of you use FB?

Mine is family members, news media and hobby groups. Family members generally share pics, etc. No drama. You control the damn thing and can delete whoever or whatever you want. I think the folks that have trouble with Facebook just aren’t intelligent enough to figure out how to use it…

I've tried to get away, but it keeps pulling me back in. I am a member of several secret gun sale groups, and a number of gun-related forums. The bs we have to go through to stay with the rules is onerous, but I have found it worthwhile to stay on due to the large number of people who are still on the groups. I also occasionally find good buys on marketplace.

Ha ha. Trump thought he was first to be accused of being critical on Twitter but I was told by family to get off there many years ago. I got on Facebook because that was the way the cycling groups post the day and time of rides. I too got all the friend request and kind got into the feeling of Facebook but it seemed to always be one of those acquired tastes. Sorry it didn't stick. Haven't surfed it in three years and haven't missed it at all.

I have one just so I can use Marketplace for cars and parts. I don't use it for anything else and wouldn't at all if Craigslist was still what it used to be.
