Damn y’all are old. I had a heart attack at 34. Almost killed me twice in the ICU. I’m 57 now and take 81mg of aspirin a day. I recently have sworn off going back to a Cardiologist. The less I know the better.

Well get a load of this

Blood clot located in right calf in 2017, was on Xarelto for 6 months. Took daily motrin and aspirin. No doctor said anything about it.

2022, had cardiac incident in Feb. Was told I had A-Fib Primary care doc and hospital docs said no motrin on Eliquis.

Fast Forward, saw a cardiologist who told me I could take motrin, but no more than 3 times daily at 800.

Saw VA, they said no Motrin. Saw VA Cardiologist, no Motrin. He said it ain't A-fib. Sent me to OK Heart.

Saw specialist, OK Heart, he agreed, not A-Fib. Did procedure, and will be on Eliquis till at least May (if don't do another procedure) and he said Motrin was OK. Said I had been on it long enough that it shouldn't hurt me, but watch for swelling, and the usual kidney stuff.

So....Eliquis, low dose aspirin, and Motrin (just trying limit it to my wake up dose.) Plus have some Voltaren and Lidocaine cream for if it is too bad.

OK Heart are my guys. Dr Patel is the best.

My cousin just called me last night. He said the results of his stress test was 99% blockage in one artery that fed three arteries. and 89% blockage in"the widowmaker". So after two stents, he said he can smell the oxygen in the air and it smells sweet. He said he even gave it a color, light blue.

That donut hole is just another way the congress let insurance companies screw us.

I see Dr. Garabelli, and I have to say I am totally impressed. Way better than any other cardiologists/electrophysiologists I have seen. The VA wants me on Eliquis for the rest of my life. Dr. Garabelli's wanted to take me off of it last year, then I had to have the ablation, and now I am hoping he will take me off of it in May, if I don't have to have another two holes cut in my groin and someone playing with my heart from the inside.
