Trapping season runs from December 1- the last day of February. Except for beaver and coyote which is year around. A fur buyer would rather have cat furs that are harvested in January and February.

They were busy today. I stood next to the chief for awhile today on a good vantage point observing the west fire line. It will be a long night watching hot spots and keeping an eye out for flare ups.
Yes gusting from the NW at 25mph. I am not sure they were expecting the wind change.
