We had a 20kva Generac at our last home at the lake. Always worked and never a problem. I think they require a certified Generac tech do the install and register the unit so using just any electrician might be a problem.

Enclosure is shell of old Carrier rooftops AC, not much louder than a lawnmower, I can hardly hear it inside of the house. Moved the key switch, wired a actuator To the starter to close the choke, I can start it inside of garage.
Run everything inside of 3500sf house minus the 4 tons A/C, 3 tons upstairs run fine.
Needed to add a hi-limit switch to shut down the gas line in case of over heat (fans failure)

^^I noticed the same. I'm not dissing on you, but for me it's like Will Rogers said if you have to ask how much it costs you probably can't afford it.
The cost of my 16kw system, installed as the house was being built in 2008, was around $5500, IIRC.
I got the last of an older model, so there was a discount, don't remember how much.

There is an estimator tool on generac's website to figure the size you need with prices, and says allow about $2000 more for installation. Won't be exact, but should give you an idea what it will cost.

We spent $9K but we had other work done on the house at the same time. They replaced the load center and added 3 outlets.
My mom’s 14kw Guardian ran right at $7k about 7 years ago. Faith Electric in Edmond did it.
