Will a Colt Gold Cup trigger fit in a standard 1911 frame? I love the wider, more rounded trigger of the Gold Cup over regular ol' slotted, speed triggers and would like to put one in my S&W 1911Sc.

Will it work? Or is it too wide?

I've run a number of rounds through both Gold Cup (wide) and Government (standard) 1911's. My definite preference is to standard width. It's too easy to push or pull a gun left or right when running the wide trigger. It's also tough to get a good trigger weight on a Gold Cup. Currently I run a Kings aluminum in my GC to get a decent pull.
