Is this growing as ground cover? How do you keep rodents from eating them?

The picture with all the berries is a raised bed. I have several in ground and several raised. Never had a problem with rodents. Rollie Pollies on the other hand try to rob me blind.

For the record I’ve killed or seen just about every rodent or critter in Oklahoma on my little slice of paradise and I raise all kinds of berries. Haven’t had a problem.

Oops just went back and looked at the pic. The one with multiple plants is actually plants I bought last year and planted in small plastic pots. I’m in the process of building and setting up two raised beds for them.

Birds was the worse rodent i ever encountered all the years i have raised strawberries even as a kid when living at home we had a bed 4ft wide and 300 ft long.
