This is ridiculous.

You need to stop. This just makes you look incredibly myopic and small.

To compare the value of one life against another is horrible beyond description.

In general, I mostly agree with about everything you post. I couldn't possibly disagree more with most of what you've posted in this thread.
There are movies made in my town a lot and have seen them in passing I couldn’t give a rats ass if they were famous or not they put their pants on the same way I do and don’t work NEAR as hard

So? That makes you better than them? That makes you better than people who like celebrities? That makes you better than anyone, anywhere? Lot's of people work hard. You want a medal? A cookie?

I've never been a celebrity worshiper either. I also don't understand getting autographs, of sports stars or otherwise. That doesn't make me one damn bit better or more moral than anyone else.

It's not that I don't understand you. I understand you well. I've know lots of people like you. You aren't better than them. They aren't better than you. What exactly have you proved other than you are small minded and simple? You judge those you don't understand. That's the definition of small and simple.

You guys are a trip some times. Seriously.

Thank you for agreeing with me. :clap3:

On celebrity worship, I do, but I'm not going to belittle the memory of someone that by almost all accounts was a decent human being, and tremendous father, and gave back to his community more so than most of us could ever hope to do. You don't think people should grieve his loss the way they see fit, because you don't understand them. That's pretty damn small and simple, regardless of what your wife thinks.

Please tell us all, how should we grieve Dennis? What's appropriate for everyone? Please share?

Let people grieve. Let people have heroes if they want. Don't be a jerk. How hard is that? You're offended? Gee, I just didn't realize other peoples feelings and method of grieving could offend you. If only there was a word for that mind set? Something, some word, we could all toss around at those that get offended because of someone else's feelings.

I'm not offended by you or your thoughts on the matter. I just thought you were better than that.

I'll let you have the last word if you want it. I've said my piece. I'm just disappointed.

When opposing viewpoints clash, the best we can hope for is mutual understanding and respect. When you've shared your opinion, the satisfaction should be the fact you had the balls to share an opposing opinion, not fueled fury to make someone change their mind no matter how much yall differ.

We can disagree. Believe me, I'm often miscategorized as the opposition because I float towards the middle. When the insults fly, jesus cries. Not lady blubbering, but a single sad tear of disappoint.

One more incident of celebrities and political people being in a tier above us commoners which is not right.
I don't give one shat what your income is, but every US citizen and every person with a green card or whatever should have to rely on the same laws to live by that we in the lower class have to live by.

Hillary Clinton has now twice snubbed a process server attempting to deliver the defamation lawsuit filed against her by Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, according to Gabbard’s attorney.

“I find it rather unbelievable that Hillary Clinton is so intimidated by Tulsi Gabbard that she won’t accept service of process,” the congresswoman’s attorney, Brian Dunne, told The Post. “But I guess here we are.”

Dunne said their process server first attempted to effect service at Clinton’s house in Chappaqua on Tuesday afternoon — but was turned away by Secret Service agents.

The agents directed the server to Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall, who on Wednesday claimed at his Washington, DC, firm, Williams & Connolly, that he was unable to accept service on Clinton’s behalf, said Dunne.

Gabbard sued the former secretary of state for $50 million last week for calling her a “Russian asset.” Clinton has refused to retract the statement.

Dunne said his team was weighing next steps.
Reps for Clinton did not immediately return a request for comment.

More upper tier people that will walk away with crimes that you and I would go to jail over.

House Democrats impeached President Trump for putting his own political fortunes ahead of the national interest in dealing with Ukraine. But it’s Joe Biden who should be on the hot seat for that.

Trump is criticized for a July 25 phone call, when he asked the president of Ukraine for help investigating what Biden did as vice president to get a prosecutor there fired. At the time, Biden’s son Hunter was on the payroll of a corrupt Ukrainian energy company, Burisma, which was targeted by authorities.

Democrats claim it was wrong to ask for the investigation; Trump’s defense lawyers say there was every reason to ask. The evidence backs up Team Trump.

It’s not just the $1 million a year Burisma paid Hunter, though he had no energy or Ukraine expertise. That’s what the defense team focused on, but it’s small potatoes.

The question is what did Burisma get in return? The Obama administration forked over $53 million in US taxpayer money between 2014 and 2016 to assist the Ukraine energy industry. The public should know how much Burisma and its related ventures may have gotten.

Biden should also have to answer for the $20 million in taxpayer-funded loans that went to his Delaware pal John Hynansky in 2012 to launch a luxury car dealership in Ukraine selling Porsches, Land Rovers and other high-ticket vehicles, none made in the United States.

Hynansky had made large donations to Biden’s campaigns. In 2015 he would loan $500,000 to Biden’s brother James, who was behind on mortgage payments and owed over $590,000 in back taxes.

Democrats and media allies are adamant that Joe Biden’s Ukraine dealings are irrelevant to Trump’s impeachment. Not so. If Biden used taxpayer money as his personal piggy bank to help his son and his car-dealer pal.

On that July 25 call, Trump did the right thing asking about Burisma, especially when $391 million more in taxpayer-funded aid to Ukraine was about to go out the door.

The chronology of the Bidens’ transactions raises serious questions:

  • April 15, 2014: Burisma sends Hunter’s business partner, Devon Archer, $112,000.
  • April 16, 2014: Archer visits Vice President Biden at the White House.
  • April 21, 2014: The veep arrives in Ukraine bearing millions in aid for the Ukraine energy industry.
  • May 12, 2014: Hunter Biden joins Burisma’s board.
  • February, 2015: Ukrainian authorities seize property of Burisma’s CEO and go after unpaid taxes.
  • March, 2016: Biden demands that Ukraine’s top prosecutor, Victor Shokin, be fired and threatens to hold up $1 billion in US loan guarantees.
Biden even bragged about telling the Ukrainians, “If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.” That’s the kind of quid pro quo Trump is accused of — only Biden did actually say it, and it’s on tape.

The Biden campaign claims the vice president demanded Shokin’s dismissal for being soft on corruption, and the media gladly parrot that claim. It defies common sense.

Though accounts vary about how aggressively Shokin investigated Burisma, Shokin himself is clear. In an e-mail to The Washington Post, he blamed Vice President Biden for getting him axed, saying Biden’s “motives” were “the activities of Hunter Biden, and the investigators on his tail.”

US Aid for International Development data show that the Obama administration sent $1.28 billion in aid to Ukraine in 2014-’16. Biden, the administration point person for Ukraine, should be held accountable for how the money was used.

Peter Schweizer’s new book “Profiles in Corruption” documents how Biden’s family and friends leveraged his position to cash in, with deals in China, Iraq, Kazakhstan and Latin America. Joe Biden’s suspect dealings in Ukraine were not out of character. The Biden motto appears to be that a family that “takes” together stays together.

Democrats insist claims of Biden wrongdoing are “discredited” and “without evidence.” That doesn’t pass the smell test.

Americans have seen the transcripts of Trump’s calls with the Ukrainians. Let’s see Biden’s call records with the Ukrainians.

If the senators decide to call witnesses, Joe Biden should be the first.

This is the jist of my response. People ignore the offenses of the elite part of our society because they worship them.
The hero/celebrity worship has to end. All of these movie/TV award shows are indicative of society in general. A mob of people patting themselves on the back for things that the majority of society really cares nothing about.
The Grammy's last week received the lowest ratings in many years. Nobody wants to hear their ignorant political opinions, and they don't care about what they have to say.
Just do your music, just do your acting and we will be happy.

We've gone from the classic grief "one-upping" to the the strawman and red herring now?

Nobody is worshiping celebrities that I have seen. Like I said, some have this irrational chip on their shoulder and are just angry.
