It was at a concert (densely packed confined area)...I dont think the number shows skill of any sort. Especially when from above when you dont have to "get through" the first wall of people.
I also dont think you have to SMUGGLE anything in. Its a hotel...and Las Vegas has pretty lax gun laws in general. I dont think you can have them in the casino portion so carrying a gun case through that might be an issue but if you just use the hotel side, I dont think anybody would look twice.

I saw that. That's unreal.

I did start to wonder how many of the wounded are secondary injuries. As in people getting hurt fleeing the scene.
Very likely. A stampeding crowd can be deadly. As I understand it, the venue had a secure perimeter and everybody had to exit through the entry gates which created a choke point. I can see a lot of secondary injuries at that point.

Things might have changed since I lived in Las Vegas but IIRC high-rise hotel windows DID NOT open. They were designed that way to a) foil suicide attempts, and b) to prevent the mass air conditioning of the state in general. So far I have seen no mention that the shooter shot out the hotel room window, so as usual, we are probably not getting the entire story here.
