Ok so I have these mounds of dirts pop up in yard out of the blue. I mow twice a week and usually find 1-2 each time I mow in different spots. There usually solid but the dog decided to eat the second one when I was trying to take a picture. I just mow em over and go on.

I live about 300-500 yards from a pond, the way the crow flys. I think maybe its crawdads or something similar but I never find any in the holes underneath the mounds. Anybody have a guess as to what they are or how to prevent them?

Mudbugs/crawdads. Get yourself some string and tie a small piece of bacon on one end and drop it it the hole when you feel a tug pull it out slowly and catch your dinner!

Anyway to get rid of em or am I just gonna have to deal with it?

Thanks for the grass compliment. I work hard on it but I hate having these mounds. The dog turds scattered around look bad enough!
