Seems like what you’re doing is working well though.
it's working so great for our nation. we've gone from social cohesion to looking at your fellow American as a profit generating scheme.

great nation building! clearly what the last generations thought of as "success!" pay a few more immigrants to fix up those houses and you've got another business model! just gotta get 'em here! throw 'em in the dumpster when they get hurt instead of offering health insurance!

Yeah your house was xxxxx back in 92, and you made whatever, but today...right now July 9th 2022 average income is the same as it was then number wise, and a house costs 165k with 9% interest rate....electricity is gonna be 200, natural gas is 100, insurance is xxx and blah blah.
I understand there is going to be some variance in examples, but this is an extremely unrealistic perception of reality. Just because this is how poor, ignorant people perceive the world today, does not mean it's reality. It anyone is only qualified for a 9% loan, allow me to inform you, you aren't qualified to own a house.

I've purchased 13-14 houses in the past 6 years when the economy was strong and prices have been "high". They are all in OK county in good school districts. These aren't rural areas. I've didn't pay $165k for any of them. All but 1 was at least 3 bedroom with garages and central heat & air. I've bought as big as 2000sqft and houses on 1/3/5 acres. Still never paid $165k. I paid as little $31k for a 3/1/1 in Choctaw. Even when the market was at it's peak (within the past 12 months), I paid $110k for a ~1500sqft 3/2/2 on .75 acres in east Midwest City (Choctaw schools).

Even today, there is a 3/1.5/1 on an acre listed for sale in Choctaw schools for less than that. It's one my mine. I've also never paid a $200 electric bill, even in my personal residence that's 100% electric. And your statement about income is laughable.

no i've literally always felt this way.
you might call me something of a socialist. i want what's best for my fellow americans. i don't subjugate them thru usury. credit debt and debt to academia (which is debt to the same people), in addition to mortgage debt (three strikes!), is basically our entire economy.

monetized debt. why on earth would anyone support this system? everyone knows it's bunk. "oh just do it tho, once you get on top you can be the one f'ing over other people; then it's great!"

lol i don't care what you call me; you know it's true. i know plenty of extremely wealthy people who don't exploit their fellow man for a few more boomer bux. those who do.....yeah you guys suck lol.
I’m not calling you anything. Just don’t understand why even if that’s true, you don’t work with the system that exists to not have to rent.

this my point. why do you own that many properties? you can't use them. you can't possibly. they are solely a revenue generation. that's why you bought them. it shouldn't be encouraged.

people needing a place to live is not a business model. this literally disgusts me. i know so many people who are extremely wealthy and they own far less property than you.

Sounds like something Biden might come up with to hurt Americans. If there is anyway he can hurt us, he'll go that route.
it's an extremely right wing movement as more and more people realize the entire thing needs to be turned over. you'd be surprised how many people agree with me, especially in this state.

Man I’m basically a nobody. It’s really of no use to me to think in terms of how I would like things to be. I just have to do my best with what is while I’m here. I personally hate renting and I spent 10+ years sacrificing in order to not have to and also not make payments. Really these are just opinions that won’t change reality. The question is what will you do in order to not be facing these same issues year after year.

No. You want what's best for you and you're trying to justify it with perceived patriotism.

The irony is that you support said land owners that you loathe. You have no conviction, which is a trend.

They are an investment. I primarily buy and hold for long term passive income, but I do flip a few for various reasons. It's actually a business model that can be quite successful. But buying houses does not guarantee success. I've seen many "property investor" business models fail. I have several successful property investor friends and we all do things slightly differently. We all have different math, expectations for returns and tolerance for risk.

The fact that you believe it's not a business model does not make it true. It just shows how little you understand about the real world. Your sense of entitlement will always keep you a few classes behind.
