Have you ever committed murder or had an abortion or been in a gay marriage or abused a child or ran for president? Well, you don't get an opinion on any of those matters. Is that how it works. Sorry, but that's childish and simplistic.
An enemy solider is taken prisoner and mistreated. It's exactly the same situation. Calling him a terrorist may make you feel better about his brutal murder, but it's ridiculous.
If you look at the case, one man testified to keep from getting charged with murder, one man testified saying he doesn't know exactly what happened, and then the Army's own expert said he agreed with the defense on what happened that day.

Not exactly. The expert didn't testify.
To be fair, he should not have put himself in that position to begin with. He made the choice to protect his men, by disobeying his orders, falsifying the after action report, and destroying evidence. All of which led to his conviction and sentence.
Personally, I applaud his actions while damning his conduct. This statement will make no sense to many, but Im betting you get it.
