Yep that is my "popcan" mortar. Primary ammo is empty beer cans filled with cement. That orange ball is a zinc popcan diameter ball ball I get from Rotometals.com. Dom Carpenter built the gun for me 10 years ago. The gun weighs 93 lbs.
150 grains of Cannon is good for about 100 yards for a cement pop can. That same load will send a round ball about 140 yards.
Three or four years ago built a Dictator kit. These were "popcan" mortars also. My wife bought one and she and our granddaughter built iy together. Lady Jane Builds a Dictator. The kit mortars are slightly smaller than my mortar. So now we have his and her mortars.
