It would be interesting to see how many of the people arguing against a minimum wage increase because they expect people to get better paying jobs are contributing to the lack of good paying jobs by shopping at Wal-Mart and other big box stores. Here's the deal folks, we can either pay more for the goods we purchase or pay more in taxes, one way or the other, we're going to have to pay up so that the underemployed can survive.

This right here.

Opinion: Mandates on minimum wage could leave many without a job
By Josh Rivera
Published January 13, 2016
Fox News Latino

..."As the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) explains, while some workers would receive higher pay, jobs for many low-wage workers would probably be eliminated."...

..."Wage increases come with real, private-sector led economic growth — something too many in Washington have given up on."...

Saw a deal on TV yesterday where fast food places are going to put in Kiosks to order from and have automated delivery to the counter.

Fast food places will never need anymore than a fry cook to continue in business.

THAT'S how Business takes care of the higher minimum wages.

Well, when living off the .gov teat is more profitable than working minimum wage, why would you get up and go to work every day?

Keep raising wages, keep raising costs, keep raising tax revenue. Sounds like a win/win for the .gov to me.

Good!
No more sick workers sneezing, coughing, and handling the food.
Get rid of the people and the place will be more sanitary.
I might even eat there then.

I doubt they'll be automating the taco trucks that I frequent. Why would anyone eat a McTurd when they can get real food for the same price? (oddly enough, even though I'm NE of downtown Tulsa, there seems to be a commonality in personnel at McTurd's and the taco trucks, perhaps our illegals are willing to grab those bootstraps, more so than our "local" populace? )
