It's not just lazy people , do you know how hard it is to get on that list and stay on it?
It's hard work, paperwork is never ending.
Hell just to get a disabled parking takes several months , plus Dx visits, that is time and money.
Then you have to put up with all the snarky..."don't look cripped to me"
If they only knew.....
Then more paper work.....its never ending, and for what a measly little squandrance.......its almost not worth it

It's like a grand ol' Paradox Party in here...lol. A great deal of people making minimum wage *also* receive govt. assistance. Raising the minimum to $15/hour would actually help/force most people get *off* govt. assistance. Do you know how much of your tax dollars go to support those making minimum wage at Wal-mart and similar places? If a particular business can't survive while paying a $15/hour minimum, then maybe they shouldn't be in the business if letting the govt. subsidize their employees wages.

Did you not read the original post, YukonGlocker, or did you just not understand it. Let me 'splain it to you... No, there is too much. Let me sum up. San Francisco has already raised the minimum wage to $15. Instead of seeing droves of people leaving the government assistance rolls, employers are seeing their workers asking for less hours so THEY CAN KEEP SUCKING ON THE TAXPAYER'S TIT. So what are you gonna do, YG? Force the minimum wage earners to work 40 hour weeks? End government entitlement programs to force the minimum wage earners to live off the supposedly "living wage"?

Is there any measure of how prevalent this is? Are we trying to describe normality with outliers? Without any idea of the prevalence of such behavior, the information is rather useless.

Paradox, indeed....that would include our .Military........many in the .Military also collect assistance....... Under minimum wage employer?

The military on government assistance is pretty much a myth. The only way it happens is if you are new to the military and start shooting out kids left and right. It is hard to enlist with more than a wife and one kid.

So........when fast food workers make $15 and hour, and it's more than people with real skills make, what happens then?
In liberal land does this just make everyone equal and happy?

Raise it to $100 an hour. It won't help. Union and other contracts are tied to min. wage . Example you make $10 plus min. wage = $17.50 hr. Min. wage goes to $15 you now get $25 an hr. All prices will rise accordingly and the Gubment will raise the poverty level to be inline.
Also look at Obamacare. For man and wife making $8 an hour each with 2 kids Obamacare is FREE. Man an wife making $15 each per hr. same coverage is $1648 per month. Thats $5 per hour each of your increases to cover Obamacare. and don't talk about the tax credits nonsense. millions ended up paying it back.

No myth
A man his wife and one kid would be under the poverty level.
See it all the time , military wives paying with access card
It's tough , even in the Military.
2015 Poverty level for a family of 3 is $20,090 or right at $10 an hour.
