Gotcha. I might go up there hunting animals. But i aint driving that far for morels.

And to think I just mowed down and chopped up no less than 3X that amount!!!

What do these things taste like? I love mushrooms but, I never knew about these "morels" till I read this post. I think I need to re-read and look over some of the recipes. It seems like most of you guys are deep frying these - correct?

I honestly don't know if they did or not. That was the time that my wife had been in and out of the hospital with heart issues, before she finally passed away. After her passing, I never went hunting back in that area again. I have since moved and started my life all over again...

Don't know about mowing them down, but I find them every year in the same tiny spot. Makes me think that if conditions are right the following year, they'll fruit again..
