Im prolly not a good person to ask bout moyorcycles anymore.

Route 66 HD has a bunch of used HD trade-ins at great prices, I was surprised that they had so many. I saw a couple Road Kings that were priced right. I imagine Myers-Duran also has a bunch of trade-ins at decent prices. Look around and you can find good deals, a buddy found an excellent condition 2010 Heritage with 5000 miles on it and $3000 in extras, for $10,000.

BTW, The 1800VTX went out of production in 2008.

Another good choice would be a used Triumph Tiger 1050.

I bought a 2007 Suzuki boulevard practically brand new, used 5k$, it has a big bike feel and rides like a dream, people always ask me all the time if it's a Harley.

Now that you mention it a member here nobuttbrian had a really nice one for sale.

OP you might try PM'ing him and see if his is still available, it was really slick, and I think he was asking a fair price.

VTX 1300 gets my vote. You should be able to pick up a good low mileage one with bags, windshield and a few other goodies for less than $5K.

I had a Yamaha 1100 Classic. Not to heavy and you should be able to get a good used one fairly cheap. Also check out the BMW's they are
good bikes for the road.
