I have always had the opposite effect putting in synthetic on older vehicles.

It depends on if the seal has any life left in it. Some of the older seals/gaskets that get hard over time won't swell back out and it will leak like crazy. YMMV, but I've had good luck with switching Jeeps to synthetic to stop nuisance leaks.

It looks totally awesome. The Jeep salvage on Robinson is A&P Truck Salvage, and still open. The old man, whose father started it way back when, told me it was much, much larger in the day. They used to have tanks. WARNING!!! They are higher than Mt. Everest on their pricing... most of the time. He does a lot of Ebay sales.

He does have a lot of GI stuff, and hard to come by hard parts. He sold me a shifter fork shaft for a transfer case for $20. Best deal I ever got there.

sweet ride , I love old jeeps but my pockets arnt deep enough to own one. I have an 89 xj thats about as old as I can handle.
