Hmm, it was "referred for engrossment." As I understand it, that means the bill is now being finalized with all adopted amendments and such. What happens next?

Also, this bill just allows hunters to use suppressors while hunting on public lands, correct? Nothing to do with taking suppressors off the NFA list...

Engrossed essentially means that it was tidied up and in this case it was signed today by whoever is responsible for that in the OK House sent to the OK Senate where it had its first reading.

Yes, this bill allows use of suppressors for hunting on public lands in the State of Oklahoma. There is another federal bill that is in the US Congress that seeks to remove suppressor from NFA purview but this isn't it.

Signed by Governor on 4/25/16; effective 11/1/16.

Got that info from clicking on the link a few posts up.

This is great, thanks for posting a followup. Any additional information on the Fed level proposal?

No kidding. I just have an issue with the government telling me that an inanimate object like a can has to be regulated by them. I'll probably never own one as long as they are NFA.

Surprised they don't have NFA on scopes and bipods, makes us more dangerously accurate.

Just wait until Hillary gets into office; especially if we lose the House or Senate.
