Paranoia is a terrible way to live a life. There are more deaths by firearms every day than the total number of coronavirus deaths in the US (so far, for those with half empty glasses) Maybe it really is time to turn all firearms, after all it appears to be pandemic.
4:00pm ABC news said there are over 1100 confirmed cases in the US as of today.

Couple weeks ago, it was less than a dozen.
EDIT: Actually it was 9 on March 3rd - 8 days ago. :/

Not sure which thread to post in.
New York Post says a lawyer in suburban NYC is linked to 37 cases of the coronavirus; thought to be linked to most of the cases in New York State.
He is 50 yrs old, lives in New Rochelle, N.Y. and commutes to Grand Central Station.
Article mentions these patients with the coronavirus:
*The lawyer
*His college student son, 20
*His wife
*His 14 yr old daughter
*The neighbor who drove him to the hospital
*A friend, the friend's wife and three of their children
*One person who was a caterer at an event held at the same synagogue the lawyer attends
*"Several" people who also attend the synagogue, as well as the rabbi
*A 51-yr old man from the Upper West Side (NYC) with a "direct nexus" to the lawyer
The lawyer "...is believed to be the common denominator in at least 37 of the cases — highlighting the alarming way the illness can spread in tight-knit communities."

I call that real life prep. Sure it is great to have a small arsenal and tons of ammo, gold, food, etc, etc, etc, but buying in bulk when it is cheap and keeping some extra on hand for a bad storm, losing a job, or just getting sick and not being able to work for a few weeks is real life. Just never forget the most necessary prep of all, the toilet paper.
Every now and again a bling pig roots a kernel or cornCan I call it or what?
