I've heard of Jeep and Porche mountain bikes, but not a S&W. I suppose it could be something rebranded and targeted for the Police/Security market.

You're exactly right. Basic, built in China, generic junk aimed at the bike patrol market in the US, at an inflated price. Sold like hotcakes, though, 'cause of the name.
