Schlotsky sounds Like some Jewish gay porn magazine

I do not know how you know this.
Don't want to know either :)

There are a lot of places I will not eat one is Olive garden or other pasta houses.
Really 50 cents worth of pasta with some grilled chicken and a bit of sauce and cheese and herbs.
You can't mess that up if you cook it at home and sure does not cost much to make it.

Nice Atmosphere I can do without.
I want to eat and git.

Now fresh fried catfish on the riverbank over an open fire with poles set out waiting for another bite ..That to me is Atmosphere.
I pay for that.
Toss some sliced tatters in that grease while you are at it.
The above dinner will happen really soon.

If they had gluten free options I would give you my opinion but as it is I can’t eat there. Jersey Mikes has a huge gluten free bun made by Udi’s. That is the brand I buy at home for my bread. And Vans has Udi’s hamburger buns. I wish more places would get gluten free options so people like me could eat at more places. I get so sick of eating the same crap all the time.

I used to eat at the original one in Austin TX as a kid in the early 80s and loved it back then. Since then and since they've expanded almost everywhere its just more corporate now and not really the same deal it used to be. The food hasn't really changed much except getting more expensive and smaller portions for the money.

I dunno man... we don't have one in Bartlesville, but when I was working in Ponca City I would stop occasionally and get a medium deluxe original for about $7 and change. And that was a helluva big sammich. Is it like eating off the dollar menu elsewhere? No, it isn't that cheap, but dang, it was a helluva lot better than a couple McDonald's double cheeseburgers and fries. It was on a par with a Freddy's burger meal. Either way, I thought it was worth it.

I love Schlotzky's. :D

If I had the money and business sense to open a restaurant here, it'd be Schlotzky's or Firehouse, probably. My wife and I used to talk about opening a Chik-Fil-A (a pipe dream, they're all corporately owned, not franchised), but they beat us to it and that place is packed - Every. Single. Day.

That's my order as well (on jalapeno bread, with a cup for water) and think it's like, plenty of food for 8 bucks. I don't go often (really any fast food often, since I work out of my house most days) but I like it well enough.

I'd easily spend that at even McDonalds.

I'm not sure what people are ordering that they end up with 15 bucks in food. Waaaay more than we need in a meal for sure! :)

Firehouse makes my fave sub in the Tulsa area, well maybe besides Bill and Ruths… :)
