I am looking for a small wheel gun as well. While the S&W J-frame is a fine revolver platform, I am leaning to the Ruger LCR over the S&W for the following reasons:
1) The triggers on the LCRs that I have seen are better than the S&W's.
2) The Ruger LCR has a more favorable price compared to the S&Ws.
3) You can put better sights for a better price on the Ruger LCR than the S&W.

Get what you feel comfortable and confident with. If possible, And practice, practice and practice.

Lastly ... is that your daughter in your avatar?

Ain't no plastic LCR I've ever seen that had a better trigger than a smith

I would save the money and buy a SP101...It is all steel...and less expensive than any smith out there. Save the money and buy some ammo and a good holster. Just my opinion. don't get me wrong I love smith and wesson but they have always been overpriced.
