We got a propane delivery Friday. The guy driving was a manager and all but begged me to come work for the company. Nope.

Retirement doesn't pay worth a damn but it's still better than working.

In today's world with prices the way they are on food and gas you'd think more younger people would work anywhere. Especially for the hourly pay some of these places are offering.

I went there one time, around June of 2020. The whole mask thing was in place and we really didn’t know anything about the China Bug. I went through Taco Crapo’s drive through and when I pulled up to the window I saw the cook with his mask down under his nose sneezing, coughing with sweat dripping off his face going all over the food he was cooking. I just kept on going. How totally disgusting.

Like most fast food places they have had to raise their prices because of inflation. If they raise it enough to pay what the little darlings think they deserve nowadays only the very rich could afford to eat there. Many can not even hire enough to fill all the management positions.

Ah, reality will set in pretty soon.

A fair price is what the market will bear.

If you can't hire people, you aren't paying enough, pretty easy to figure out.

If you can't afford labor costs, you'll go out of business.

Rinse and repeat enough, you'll get a labor glut, and labor costs go down.

Labor is a commodity, just like beef, cheese and tortillas. Getting pissed about the value changing won't help anything.
