An article providing 7 reasons why liberal economic policies don't work - well worth a read.
One thing of note is the author's contention that Keynesian economics doesn't work. His explanation makes a lot of sense. I'd have argued that particular contention with him 20 years ago though. I was taught that Keynesian economics is what pulled us out of the great depression. Since then most economists have changed their minds about that and have published a number of studies showing that if it weren't for FDR's policies that the depression probably would have ended in 1934.
