I recently bought an abandoned (been there for 2+ year) motorcycle from work with the agreement, that for the smoking price I bought it at the title 42 paperwork was my headache. I know the motorcycle has not been registered in Oklahoma per the tag office, the temporary paper tag that was on it is long gone as well. My boss believes that it came from Colorado, which tracking the VIN through the dealer network sites, looks to be correct. I have already sent the paperwork to OTC to search for titling jurisdiction outside of Oklahoma. My questions are:
1. Has anyone done their own title 42 and how does the fact that I am not a business affect things?
2. Does anyone have a reputable service that they recommend that I could pay to have them do the paperwork so I know it is correct?
3. Do you have to actually sell the vehicle or can you list yourself as the lien claimant and the buyer?
I have more question, but this should at least test the water.
Thank in advance.
