How can copper or lead hitting a rock cause a spark? I mean, outside of Hollywood that is.

The OP mentioned shooting 'greentip', which I believe is steelcore.

AND it's a well known fact that some of the rocks out here are made of cow poops full of potassium nitrate.

OP stated he was using A/P rounds shooting at a post with zip ties on it.. I'm thinking it was a metal T post too.
