What should be used to lubricate a garage door spring?

It pays to check the spring occasionally, I didn't and the garage door opener burned out and I had to replace a broken spring and garage door opener.
It is a double garage door and the guy that replaced the spring said the door was having metal fatigue and he put a brace in that area. I looked and sure enough, there was a metal crack.

The Blaster stuff is what my local Garage door guy recommended to extend spring life. Also, I replaced the original metal rollers with a set with nylon wheels and decent bearings, which REALLY helped quiet things down.
P.S. Springs are ridiculously expensive.
