I don't know what it's made of but they sell a spray on that says it's made for garage door rollers.

It could be the capacitor in the garage door opener getting ready to go bad.

Is a lithium spray better than silicone or is the silicone better?

White Lithium is what is recommended for garage rollers, tracks, chains, etc.

I open and close garages all day delivering. Liftmaster has the quietest garage door opener I have seen. It's so quiet, if the door didn't snap and creek a bit, you would never know the door was operating. If I'm lying I'm dying.

Picked up some lithium spray at Walmart for 4.48. I hit each roller, each hinge, the spring, and larger wheels at the ends of the spring. Wow what a difference it made - it sounds and operates so much more smoothly now! Thanks for the advice everyone.

Don't wait like I did if the motors is straining, I had to replace the garage door opener. I didn't notice that one of the springs was broken and kept on using the opener.
