When to start

I'm going to be hunting a new spot this fall. How early should I start throwing corn out to try and get the deer to tell all their buddies about it?

Hopefully its private cause its illegal on public this year.

I paid $9.00 for a 40 lb bag at Atwoods. How does that compare to years past?

Corn made it up to an all time high of $8.49 bushel(55/56lbs) on friday morning but closed at $8.18. Here's a link to an article that shows price chart from previous years.
