My mom worked at the local school. We used to to take the ag department horse trailer and load it up with commodities. Guess who grew up eating all things commodity? Funny thing is, I’d pay good money for cans of commodity pork and
beef. I miss it.

Wife fixes something like that and it is ok and tasty but not something i would want on a regular basis, she normally dont fix it but about once a month or so, its quick and simple.
And cheap for broke college kids to feed their family

A few years ago my typical grocery list was just: bag of beans, bag of rice, rotisserie chicken, salsa, case of eggs.

That's it, that's the meals for the week.

Six eggs for breakfast, beans and rice for lunch, chicken and salsa after the gym.
