I'm better now ... thanks for letting me vent guys!! It is what it is ... but my poor little truck sure made a TON of noise coming home ... lol I sounded pretty BUFF!!

Scrap for sure but stop and think about it ... 5 converters a day, 5 minutes each to steal tops, $15-$20 (maybe more now that metal has gone up) ... that's a couple hundred bucks for not much time at all ...

Or more money, if I sell the converter whole for $50 to some poor soul who just had cat cut off...

Why would they steal that? It has no used value other than scrap does it?

Apparently the cat on some vehicles contain some valueable metals. There was a rash of these thefts where I work about 2 years ago, they hit the Tundras & Toyota SUVs especially hard. Back then they said some of the cats were bringing $60 at the recyclers.
