Well Doc, you obliviously don't recognize an insult when you see one. Your comment about "a cheap gun" is an insult to several people, not everyone not has an unlimited budget. I would be happy to go head to head with you at a range with my cheap POS, we might be able to see which is the best!Jayd...
"Well Doc, your opinion doesn't mean jack to me, just because a 1911 didn't cost 1500.00+ does not mean it's a POS! There are several brands/models for much less that are fine weapons, I guess some must spend more to compensate for something else. "
Well...you have definitely lowered the level and proven to everyone that you "have no couth"-lol.
You also don't know "squat " about 1911s...if you did you would know that I was trying to save you some aggravation and steer you toward a pistol that would serve you well for many years without a bunch of upgrades, and making your pistol a "lifetime project!" All of which would eat up a lot of valuable time, energy, and dollars. Since you seem to be on a budget it would be worth your while to get into a gun that you don't have to worry about , or upgrade, or ***** about the cost . It is more important to buy well when you are on a budget!!! I think you need an M&P , or an XDM which would definitely be within your means, maybe even a Glock (no disrespect meant here Glocktogo), and give you some dough left over to buy ammo to improve your shooting skills.
So, lets wind this up here by returning the complement:
"Well Jayd, your opinion doesn't have to mean jack to me" since I can build a $3800.00 1911 that will perform admirably, the way it was designed too at cost.. I am not some "bean counter " at the factory that is reducing quality to save costs. For example, Kimber probably has all of $60-70 in materials for their MIM parts in their pistols excluding frame and slide. Now, lets get serious here...There are times in peoples lives when they have to be on a budget whether by choice or necessity. If I was trying to shame you or knock what's left of your "Dick" in the dirt I would have suggested a Wilson Combat or Nighthawk for $3000. If you were thin skinned or thought I was trying to embarrass you you should have PM'd me directly and I would have been more than willing to explain my position either privately or publicly to correct any misconception!...
I think I'll quit here since I don't have to lower the level and get in the gutter with you, but you need to think before you open your mouth and insert your foot.
