Well I made it through another one Obama gets the gun's and ammo sales man of the year.
It was nice to see most of the fat guy shooting team, spamby, and several of our sponsers there. Medlocks, Marks, Bill Coye, 2A and several others.

I just got home from the show. Wish I could have stayed a little longer but my kid was ready to go. I doubt he'll get to go next time.

Well the show was interesting. I met Mark of Marks Firearms but I didn't see any other dealers that I recognized. Rijas booth gave me a good laugh - "Tell him to use brass cased ammo and only in .223 otherwise it'll blow up!" I guess it could have been an AR in .223 they were talking about but after all I've heard about their "sevice" I'd venture it was a 5.56/.223 in reality.
Pretty sure that statement is wildly inaccurate, as saw at least one of each type seller mentioned there, with the exception of political campaigns and Scentsy.....
Didn't count, but I'd believe 4,100 tables.
I saw a few food tables. 4 for beef jerky that I noticed. Only made it through about 2/3 of the show.
Saw one pottery table and one table selling something... some kind of supplement or powered whatever... can't remember what it was. But both of these tables were adjacent to a gun table that I believe was the same person/group. So they probably set up their guns and had an extra table for their other stuff. I'm sure that's why they weren't given the smackdown.
Overall, for $10 entry, pretty good. Especially if you're into old guns, historical stuff, and rifles. Rifles, rifles, rifles. I was looking mainly for a 4" 1911-style gun, or a mid-size XD-M in .45ACP. The only Commander-sized 1911s I found that were serious candidates for daily carry were a pair of Colts at $1300 each and a few Kimbers in the $900-1100 range. Did see one table with a pair of Rock Islands for $550 ea. I'm sure I missed some stuff... like I said, I missed maybe half of the upper level, the side away from the ramps. Trying to decide if I'll go back tomorrow or not.
I did pick up a bunch of AR parts, couple of gas blocks, 4 carbine-length AIM quadrails, a DPMS full-length rifle handguard, a bunch of PMAGS. One table on the upper level was selling 30-round PMAGS at 12.95 for the regular and 14.95 for windowed. Not bad. Also picked up a couple of complete buttstock kits for $45 ea.
Decided to pick up pinkhamr's Springfield V-10 SS 4" 1911 from the Classies... it's a MUCH better deal than anything else I saw today.
