My gf and I are getting into cowboy action shooting, so right now at the top of my list is a Winchester 1873 clone in 357. Then a CB97 12 gauge, a pair of Uberti Hombre's in 357, and someday, a pair of Cimarron Model No. 3 Schofields in 38 Special...

I'm not a big ole west guns fan (My dad is) but I have to admit, I do love the Model 3 Schofields and I hear those Cimarrons are well made.

Actor Glenn Ford caught the Cowboy action shooting bug early in his career. He was really good too.

Edit: Oh, and your GF sounds like a keeper LOL

Shooting Mr Hoddy's 45 colt has the fingers itching, he pointed me at the rugers and looking into them seems like that could be my backup to a 45-70 real easy!!
That's the great thing about the Eat and Shoots. You get to shoot the actual weapon and get a first person report on that model of firearm without all the spurious "thinkers" that have ruined many entry calibers with their speculation and no actual field experience.
WSSM being the prime example with a lot of magazine "experts" predicting early throat wear, and barrel wash out before it even came to the market. All claims have been proven false.
The gun manufacturers screwed up too, introducing it in the bolt guns before the Modern Sporting AR-15 Rifle.
The sharp shoulder of the case doesn't work well with the bolt actions but lends itself very well to the semi auto actions.

BTW, okierider, I found the box of .44 mag ammo in between the seats when clearing out the truck. Never stuck my head in there far enough to see it. Wish you would have had that opportunity to shoot it.

Well hopefully I can shoot it in another ENS! That 45LC was smooth although it took a couple of shots for me to figure out how to do it without pulling the pistol off target. Amazed at the trigger difference between revolvers and semi auto pistols!!

My don't want list would be much shorter than my want list. As far as guns go i am wanting a second Beretta APX, a surplus M1 carbine, and a S&W model 18. I also Really want to buy a motorcycle and take the MSF basic rider course. Just got to decide what guns to sell to help get to my goals.
