Kids have lost what is important.
No kidding!
Video games have replaced a lot of activities I engaged in as a kid. Building forts, bird hunting with BB guns, jumping each other with our bikes (my mother still doesn’t know about that one)...
As a kid, I never had to be entertained especially if I could get outside, but kids today don’t want to go outside.

Video games suck. I'm not saying I didnt play them as a kid...but they werent my primary form of "entertainment".
I'm mid 30s and its HARD to find anything to do with my young cousins/nieces/nephews as thats all they know or want to do.

As a kid I spent more time outside on my bike...was never into video games
The problem does not begin at the child level but at the adult level.
We had places to fish, we had places to ride bikes, places to jun with all your friends with BB guns and slingshots and bows and arrows.
You find a nice pond to fish today and you will be ran off "by an adult".
You find a place to ride your bike and you will be ran off "by an adult"
God forbid you carry a BB gun or bow and arrow into a field if you can find a field to play in.
You will be arrested and begin your life with a record.

It is a lot safer to stay inside and do what happens in post #7.
