Didn't care for Iron Star for BBQ. Had the sliced brisket, wouldn't ever order it from there again. Hipster restaurants need to stick to their fancy salads and let the pit masters do their thing.

Read this and was out that way lunchtime so I gave it try. I had the sliced brisket sandwich with fries and I can only tell you it is as good a BBQ as anyplace I have been and that covers most all southern states. The brisket was smoked through, great ring and bark. I almost couldn't eat it all. I met the owner and learned a bit about him (another good Texan). Next time back I will try the ribs and I highly recommend it.
Texlahoma on Waterloo in Edmond. Best BBQ in the damn state, don't care what anybody says I haven't had better.
The okra and slaw is damn good too.
Go check it out, owner is a cool dude, but get there early it's so good they run out.
Some guys I work with told me they ate there and it was the best they have ever had. I work in welston once and month and have yet to eat there. I need to try it out. You've got the World Champion BBQ winner in Wellston, The Butcher BBQ stand, but not really a dine-in restaurant.

Well, at least you got some good suggestions to try if ya want.I'm embarrassed to say that I took him to rib crib in elk city. He liked it. His flight was too early for bbq. I will smoke some ribs tomorrow for him and his wife.
