of course, you might not have actually had it, right? Or have you had an anti-body test?

Our neighbor had it recently and is fine. My cousin had it in NYC and was pretty miserable (luckily not hospitalized). Alearly it's a YMMV type of thing.
Of course I might not have had it but the timing and fact that the Dr. said "this is going around and we dont know what it is.
I plan to do an antibody test as soon as I can.
But I'm still sure thats what it was. Like nothing I ever remember having before so it certainly wasnt bronchitis

i certainly understand that. Just pointing out that November is pretty early in the known timeline, but that is not to say it isn't possible. And frankly, you could have had it since and not really known it.

At least here, if you give blood right now they will do an antibody test for free.

increasing viral spread is going to cause all sorts of problems for our economy, right? It's already hitting the travel industry hard, let alone the medical field, schools, etc. If requiring a mask allows a casino to stay open, isn't that something that is good for our economy? If there are enough people who can't hear through a mask (or write, apparently) then wont a good business learn to adapt? Maybe provide clear masks or face shields to the waitstaff?
The reactions are whats killing the economy, NOT the virus. And it's by calculated design working just as they would like.
Get it?

I agree that the reaction hurt our economy, but the by design part i'm less sold on.

That said, i don't see how requiring a mask (but allowing places to remain open) hurts the economy as much as the spread does. Having restaurants close after an outbreak, businesses forced to be understaffed due to covid illnesses, childcare issues, school closings, travel restrictions, etc all seem like they would have a negative impact on the economy. We've had multiple weddings get cancelled this year because no one is willing to travel to attend, guest limits at venues are forced to remain small, places are having to limit options (i.e. no more buffet style service). A cancelled wedding hurts a lot of vendors, many of whom are small businesses. But having a wedding go forward, even with masks, still keeps money flowing to us.
